Who are we?

Westbury Harriers is a well established running club, based in Bristol, UK (the name 'Westbury' comes from the Westbury-on-Trym area in north-west Bristol where we were founded, although we now attract runners from all over Bristol and South Gloucestershire). We cater for all ages (youngsters of 9 to young-at-heart of 65+) and abilities (complete novices to established international). We have even had runners come along as complete beginners and progressed through to running for their country! Being a small club with a big reputation, we have a real 'family' atmosphere - so be warned: you might start by bringing along your offspring, but could end up getting seriously fit, yourself.

Westbury Men win the Rabbit

Well done to the Westbury Harriers men's team who won the June, Town and Country Harriers (TACH) race, called the 'Rowberrow Rabbit Run', as part of the 4 event summer series. The series is a very enjoyable but challenging off road 4 event summer series in 4 locations south of Bristol. The team consisted of Rich Collinson (individual winner), John Terry, Fraser Jamieson, Gareth Howard and Graham Clark. Debbie Marsden put in a good performance for the women, especially in light of her nasty fall. Everyone did well on a challenging multi-terrain course and definitely deserved their beers after the race!
